BUHO ARQUITECTOS

Buho Arquitectos is a Spanish architecture firm, founded in Valladolid in 2004 by Javier Sánchez López (1971, ETSA Valladolid) and Pedro Sánchez López (1972, ETSA Valladolid). Our work takes place in Castilla y León. It is fundamentally based on the use of cheap materials and adaptation to the site and the environment.

Awards:

- Sustainable Construction awards of Castilla and León. V edition 2013-2014. Honorable mention for “Palet Project” in Valladolid. (Ephimeraq Collective).

- Castilla y León Architecture Awards. XI edition 2018-2020. Mention in the Rehabilitation category for “Narrow house with a narrow patio in Covarrubias (Burgos)”.

- Castilla y León Architecture Awards. XI edition 2018-2020. Mention in the category of Interior Design and other interventions for “Covarrubias Visitor Reception Center”.

- Castilla y León Sustainable Construction Awards. VIII edition 2019-2020. First prize for “Cardboard Project” in Valladolid. (Ephimeraq Collective)

- Biennial of Spanish Architecture. XV edition 2019-2020. Selected for the work “Patio Houses Mirasol” in Arroyo de la Encomienda (Valladolid).
